CHICAGO SKY

Women's basketball is facing unprecedented growth. And with that growth comes added pressure, scrutiny and hate, both on and off the court. We were tasked with creating a t-shirt, a few social posts, and an updated rallying cry for the Chicago Sky’s 2026 mental health-themed game night, focusing on the positive community that  rallies around both the team and the WNBA as a whole.

Being the over-achiever that I am, my partner and I turned this into so much more. Luckily, we had an amazing partnership with the Sky that allowed us to make this bigger than a few social posts and a t-shirt. "We are all the 6th player" emphasizes the importance we all share in lifting each other up, especially when it becomes too difficult to fight through the noise alone.

THE WIENERS CIRCLE

In addition to promoting this message at this year’s Mental Health Night, we got to partner with one of Chicago’s most iconic institutions: the Wieners Circle. For one day only, we turned Chicago’s biggest haters into champions of positivity. During the game, the staff took over the jumbotron, not with insults, but with real, specific praise for Sky players. Post-game, fans lined up outside for a chance to trade a message of support for a free Chicago Dog, while Sky players worked the counter to receive it themselves.  Online, positivity toward Chicago Sky posts rose 28%, while hateful comments dropped 33%.
